These draft terms explain how you may use ElderCareCosts. A lawyer still needs to review them before we treat them as final.
Informational only
ElderCareCosts publishes cost estimates, licensed provider records, and guides for families. Nothing on this site is medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. Cost figures are estimates. Verify prices, availability, and care suitability directly with providers and qualified professionals.
Data accuracy limits
We cite public sources (CMS, state registries, published surveys) and say when estimates are modeled. Records can lag official updates. Ratings and inspections reflect source data, not our opinion of a community. See Methodology and Data sources.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, overload, or disrupt the site.
- Do not submit false connection requests or spam forms.
- Do not use listings to harass providers or families.
- Do not misrepresent our data as your own proprietary product without attribution.
IP and attribution
Site design, copy, and normalized datasets we assemble are ElderCareCosts property except where underlying government data is public domain or public record. You may reuse cost tables and embeds with clear attribution to ElderCareCosts, as described on Data sources. CMS and other government data remain subject to their own terms.
Provider claims and connections
Claimed profiles and connection requests are subject to our disclosure pages: How we make money and Advertising disclosure. Paying never changes ratings or hides inspection records.
Liability limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, ElderCareCosts is not liable for decisions made using site estimates or listings, or for third-party provider conduct. The site is provided as-is. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; those limits apply only as permitted.
Governing law
Draft placeholder: governing law and venue will be set to the LLC's home state once formation is complete. Counsel will finalize this section.
Attorney decision needed: arbitration
We have not drafted an arbitration clause or class-action waiver. Counsel should decide whether to include one, and if so, draft the language. We will not add arbitration terms without counsel's review.
