Corrections

We publish tens of thousands of data points from government sources. Government data has errors, so sometimes we will too. Here's the deal:

  • Report anything that looks wrong with the "Report an error" link on any page, or the form below.
  • We check it against the primary source. Not opinion, the record.
  • If we're wrong, we fix it and log it here with the date and what changed. No silent edits on substantive facts.
  • If the source is wrong (a state registry with a stale address, for example), we note the discrepancy and how to get it fixed at the source.

Changes providers can request

If you own or operate a listed provider, three kinds of changes have a standing fast path:

  • Name spelling and capitalization. State registries file names in all caps, and our formatting can miss a brand's own spelling. We take the owner's word for how the name is written.
  • Street address privacy. Many home care agencies are licensed at the operator's own residence. On request, we withhold the street address and list the agency by city and state only. The page says the address is withheld, not that it is unknown. The address remains in the state's public registry either way; that record is the state's to publish, and this site does not need to amplify it.
  • Contact information. Phone and website changes need identity verification first, because a listing's contact details are exactly what a hijacker would want to change. Claiming the listing, or any document tying the requester to the license, is enough.

All of these are recorded as corrections layered over the ingested record, so a data refresh can never silently undo them.

Recent corrections appear below. An empty log means nothing has been reported and confirmed yet, not that we're perfect.
