How this differs from agency home care
In agency-delivered home care, a licensed agency employs the caregiver and bills for the visit. In consumer-directed models, the participant or representative often recruits and supervises the worker, with payroll or financial-management support defined by the program.
Private-pay agency rates and Medicaid self-direction wages are not the same thing. Compare the official program rules with any private agency quote before you plan around a number.
