Embeddable cost widgets

Know the real cost. Find the right care. We publish real senior-care cost data by city and care type. These widgets put a slice of that data directly on your page: an Area Agency on Aging resource list, an elder-law blog post, a hospital discharge page. Drop in one line of code and the number stays current on its own.

Four widget types

City cost table

One city's own cost band: 25th percentile, median, 75th percentile.

City vs. state vs. national

The same cost band, compared across three geographies at once.

Provider count badge

A live licensed-provider count for Pasadena, CA.

Care-type cost card

A national median cost card for Assisted Living. No city or state needed.

What this does and does not do

  • We do not track embedding sites. We count widget renders in aggregate, by widget type and care type, to see which widgets get used. We never record which site embedded a widget, never store a referrer, and never set a tracking cookie on your visitors.
  • Attribution is required, not hidden. The code you copy is an iframe plus one line of HTML: a plain, dofollow “Data: ElderCareCosts” link to the page the figures come from. That line sits on your page, not inside the frame, so a reader can follow it and it reads as an ordinary citation. The widget repeats the link inside the frame, with the data's vintage, for anyone who opens it on its own. Please keep the line; it is the only thing we ask for in exchange for the data.
  • Data updates automatically. A widget reflects whatever is live on ElderCareCosts at the moment a visitor loads your page. You never need to re-copy the code when a figure changes.
  • No sign-up, no email, no approval queue. Copy the code and use it. Nothing here requires an account.
  • Widgets degrade gracefully. Every widget is server-rendered, plain HTML and CSS. It reads correctly even if the embedding page's JavaScript fails to load.
