Penalties

Fines against an assisted living community are a state matter. CMS publishes civil money penalties for the nursing homes it certifies, and assisted living is not certified by CMS, so no community appears in that file. Oregon publishes no assisted living penalty list we can read.

Staffing

Staffing hours are published for nursing homes and for no other kind of provider. Federal law requires Medicare- and Medicaid-certified nursing homes to file payroll-based nurse hours with CMS every quarter, and no agency collects the same return from assisted living communities.
